Douglas R. Paule, age 58, of Castalia, passed away Monday morning, April 24, 2023, in his residence.

He was born November 19, 1964, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1983.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, and worked for Sandusky Machine and Tool for 39 years.  Doug was the Margaretta Livestock 4H advisor for 40 years and was a member of the Townsend Ruritan; he was also a huge Ohio State Fan.

He is survived by his sister Linda Paule, Fremont; brother Mark (Kay) Paule; six nieces and nephews Jessica Paule, Jarrett Paule, Kaitlyn Rose, Christi Felder, Lynsay Sumser, and Garrett Alt; six great nieces and nephews; and countless adopted 4H kids.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Lois (Taylor) Paule; and a great niece.

A celebration of life will be Friday, April 28, 2023, from 4-8 PM at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
