Doug Cole, age 73, of Clyde, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following at brief illness.

He was born February 7, 1944, in Stockbridge, MI, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1962.  Doug was a self-employed truck driver and was a member of the Sandusky Eagles post 444.  He loved riding his motorcycle, traveling, camping, and most of all, spending time with his family.  He was a true friend to many.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sharon (Ekleberry) Cole; daughters Tina (Tom) Fleming, Vickery, Terri (Jeff) Meyer, Sandusky, and Tracy Haerr; seven grandchildren Chris, Nick, Eric, Jessica, Mike, Rachael, and Tony; four great grandchildren Garrett, Alex, Charlie, and Michael; and four sisters Carol Cole, Dinah Adelman, Brenda Sparks, and Glenna Fugate.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday , July 13, 2017.  Buddy Carty will officiate.  Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
