Donald A. Gowitzka, 90, of Castalia, died Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

He was born March 25, 1930 in Vickery, OH, and attended Margaretta High School. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Groton Township and the VFW.  Donald worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years.

Don is survived by 2 daughters Mary Gowitzka of Sandusky, and Judith (Jeff) St. Clair of New York; son Donald Gowitzka of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother David (Bonnie) Gowitzka of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol in 2013; his parents William and Ada Gowitzka; and sister Kathryn Ohlemacher.

There will be no visitation at the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, Castalia. Family graveside services will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, with Pastor Jim Michaels officiating.
