During those years, he participated in a Trade Mission to Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea on behalf of soybean growers, as well as one to Mexico. Locally, he was one of the first to farm No-Till crops, soybeans, and corn, continuing that practice until retirement in 2024.
Dennis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky, the Sandusky Yacht Club, Elks Lodge 285, Farm Bureau Advisory council (Town and County Planters), and the Ohio Soybean Association. He loved to travel, especially being a "snowbird" in Tucson, AZ in the winter.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose (Faber) Mesenburg; son Josh Mesenburg; grandchildren Macie and Drew; brother Joe (Karen) Mesenburg; sister in-law Lisa Faber; brothers in-law Larry (Bonnie) Faber, and Dennis (Beverly) Faber; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
