Denise L. Reed (formely Stark), age 45, of Mansfield and formerly of Castalia, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, February 16, 2017, at her residence.

She was born April 7, 1971, in Medina, OH and graduated from Medina High School in 1989.  Denise worked as a cosmetologist for 20 years, and most recently worked at Mansfield Correctional Institution as a corrections officer.  She was a lover of all animals; and enjoyed working with horses and also owned her own horse.  Denise loved her children and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her daughter Summer Stark; son Steven Stark; parents Dennis Berberick and Kathy Willis; and sister Marian (Wally) Traska.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Harvey Studer will officiate.
