David Laconte's Obituary

David LaConte, age 69, of Sandusky, died Saturday morning, December 9, 2017, at his residence.

He was born February 8, 1948, and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1967.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a welder for Sage Industrial in Phoenix, AZ, retiring in 2008.  David was a member of the VFW and American Legion; he loved to hunt for arrowheads, shoot clay pigeons, prospect for gold, collect Indian artifacts, and do scrimshaw.

He is survived by his wife Charmaine (Larcomb) LaConte; daughter Bridget (William Knop) Liedorff; step daughter Christine Chaney; step son Mark (Alissa) Chaney; two grandchildren William and Christian Chaney; step mother Joy LaConte; two brothers Vince (Marty) LaConte and Anthony (Joyce) LaConte; two step brother Richard Vicars and Dennis (Lisa) Vicars; and several aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Charlotte LaConte

Friends may call Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5pm until time of memorial services at 6pm, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
