Daniel M. Hill, age 76, of Huron, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.

He was born November 4, 1945, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1963.  Daniel worked for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years of service.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and the Huron Eagles.  Daniel enjoyed playing softball and bowling; and used to coach little league baseball and was Cub Scout leader.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Bush) Hill; son Douglas Hill; grandchildren Matthew (Emily) Hill and Hannah Hill; sister Arlene (Rick) Wahl; brother William Hill; brother in-laws Barry Karns and Duane Clark; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Arvel and Alvina (Bahnsen) Hill; sisters Diane Karns and Pamela Clark; brother James Hill; and special friend Richard.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 21, 2022, at First Christian Church, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky, with Pastor Don Spurlock officiating.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
