Curtis C. Walters
CASTALIA: Curtis C. Walters, age 84, of Castalia, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2015, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
He was born June 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL, and served in the U.S. Army and was a skilled tradesman at Whirlpool, retiring after 30 years. He also was a part-time farmer. Curtis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky; a benefactor member of the NRA; and a member of the American Legion and AMVETS. He enjoyed shooting and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Faye (Minzer) Walters; two step sons, Bob (Wendy) Fox and Don (Beverly) Fox; nine step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; two brothers, James (Susan) Walters and Robert Walters; aunt, Nora Fulton; nephew, Butch; and many nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Ruby (Frantz) Walters; sister, Mary Duncan; and two brothers, Clyde and Sam Walters.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate. Burial will be in Washington Chapel Cemetery, Helena, OH.
