Clifford P. Meyers, age 93, of Bay View, died Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016, at his residence of natural causes.

He was born August 16, 1922, in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1940.  Clifford served in the U.S. Air Force and was part owner of Russell Trucking Line.  He was a true visionary and a real outdoorsman; he loved to travel, garden, and carve wood.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean (McGowan) Meyers; daughter Janet (Vernon) McClish, MA; two sons Russ Meyers, TX, and Tim (Alice) Meyers, WA; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Ella (Hartlieb) Meyers; and three brothers.

There will be no services and cremation has taken place.  Ransom Funeral and Cremation Services, Castalia, was in charge of the arrangements.
