Cecil B.
Parker Jr.
September 15, 1945 – March 19, 2026
Cecil B. Parker Jr., age 80, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, following a brief illness.
He was born on August 15, 1945, in Bedford, Indiana, to Cecil and Hattie Parker Sr. Cecil graduated from Margaretta High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He built a long and successful career in information technology, retiring from Milk Marketing, Inc.
In retirement, Cecil embraced life as a snowbird, spending winters in Florida and the rest of the year enjoying time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He had a love for travel, history, and reading, and never passed up a good John Wayne movie. He was an active member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, holding several positions throughout the years on the board of directors. A devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians, he followed the team through decades of wins and losses, including playoff runs and two World Series appearances.
He is survived by his children, Gretchen (James) Roberts, Trish (Jeff) Palsa, and John (Brenda) Donovan; his daughter-in-law, Tricia Parker; six grandchildren, Julia Palsa, Alison Palsa, Emily Palsa, Dominic Roberts, Katherine Donovan, and Jacob Parker; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Harris) Parker; his son, Andrew Parker; his siblings, Valerie Markley, Brenda Zahel, Sue Herholz, and Donita Lawhorn; his niece, Johnna Lawhorn; his nephew, Kevin Parker; and his parents, Cecil and Hattie Parker Sr.
