She was born June 27, 1948, in Shelby, and was raised by her aunt and uncle Violet and Stanley Wharton.  She graduated from Margaretta High School in 1967.  Carolyn enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her family; she also loved to play the lottery and was very lucky.

She is survived by her husband Marvin Veleba; daughter Karin (Tim Errett) Veleba, Sandusky; son Keith (Becky) Veleba, Canton; five grandchildren Michael, Mathew, Kelsey, Ian, and Madeleine; sister Mary Lou (Jim) Stall; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Doris Senn and Jeanie Feltner; brothers Allen Wharton, Stanley Wharton Jr., Leroy Kegley, and Butch Kegley.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 11 AM.  Chaplain Melvin Saylor will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
