Brenda P. (Griffin) Smith, of Crystal Rock, passed away with loved ones by her side at the age of 75 on January 29, 2023, following a brief illness. She truly dedicated her life helping others in any way she could. She will be forever in our hearts.

Brenda had a big personality and welcomed everyone to her home. She always made the best out of every situation and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She loved lunch dates with her best friends, and finding the best yard sales to buy more stuff she didn't need. Everyone that was lucky enough to know her, felt her kindness and love. She will be missed by so many.

Brenda was born March 4, 1947 in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1966. She has been retired from Ford Motor Company for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter Laurel Smith and grandson, Holden, her sisters: Katie Kessler, Wendy (Jo) Petrick, and brothers: Rich (Rose Mary) Griffin, and Ronney (Sue) Griffin, as well as many nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Walter Smith, in 1990; son Walter "Jamie" Smith, in 1998; parents Bryan and Laurel (Keller) Griffin; sisters Earlene Jacobs, Joanne Brown, Marge Gowitzka, Carol Routson, and Noreen Griffin (in infancy); brothers Otto, Louis, Marvin, Daniel, Billy, and Paul (in infancy). A celebration of life will be held from 4 Pm util time of services at 7 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. A private family burial be held later in Venice Cemetery.
