Beverly "Earl the Pearl" Johnson, age 86, of Castalia, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, November 6, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born May 3, 1933, in Tazewell, TN, to Bud and Joanna Johnson.  He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Ford Motor Company.  Earl loved working in his yard and garage, being with his family, country music, and going back home to Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Louise Johnson; daughter Beverly Young; grandchildren Mandy (Erica) Johnson, Melissa Hineline, Steven Earl Johnson Jr., Sydney Johnson, and Tyler Johnson; and great grandchildren Jacob Johnson and Zamiyah Missler.

Earl was preceded in death by his mother and father Joanna (Hopper) and Bud Johnson; daughter Linda Johnson, son Steven Earl Johnson Sr., great granddaughter Avalyn Johnson; and  two brothers Tookie and Doyle Johnson.

Friends may call from 5 PM until time of services at 7 PM on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
