Barbara "Theda" Michael, age 84, formerly of Lakeside, died Friday, August 17, 2018, at her daughters home in Powhatan, VA, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Lakeside, OH, to Orin and Kathryn Dole, and graduated from Lakeside High School. She was employed by Lakeside High School and Ottawa County Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter Katie Michael Hayslette of Virginia; son Doak Michael of Pine Hurst, N.C.; 5 grandchildren Stephanie Michael, Abigail, Seth, Morgan, and Haley Gedeon; great granddaughter Kaelyn Michael; brother William Dole of Catawba Island; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard (Gabby) Michael; and 2 sisters.

It was her wish to cremated, and memorial services will be held later in Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Northern Ohio Chapter, 902 Westpoint Parkway, Suite 300.
