Barbara Ann Karbler, 73, of North Ridgeville, died peacefully Monday, June 20, at her residence after a long illness with Dementia.
She was born January 4, 1949, in Sandusky, and was a graduate of Margaretta High School. She attended Marshall and Bowling Green Universities. She was a Financial Officer for the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Health and for the last 15 years worked for the Public Defenders of Cuyahoga County.
Barb is survived by her husband of 53 years Larry Karbler; her sons William Karbler of Shaker Hts, OH, and Andrew (Jenny) Karbler of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren Christian, Corinne, Cali, Grace, and Madeline Karbler, and Alayna and Keira Kramer; brother Scott German of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents Robert and Florence German; and a sister Sharon "Bobbi" VanCauwenbergh.
Friends may call from 9:30 am Thursday, June 23, 2022, until time of services at 11:00am in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate and burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be made to the Lorain County Alzheimer's Association, 37500 Harvest Dr., Avon, OH 44011, or the Margaretta Rescue Squad, 113 South Ave., Castalia, OH 44824.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Western Reserve Hospice Center for their support and care during her final years.
