Alvin L. Banks, age 90, of Ft. Ogden FL, and Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December, 7, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, with his family by his side.

He was born August 17, 1932, in Dayton, OH, and worked for GM for 25 years and Asplundh Tree Service.  Alvin attended Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church, Sandusky.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruth (Jordan) Banks; daughters Kimberly Ann Banks, Sandusky, and Vicki Lynn Banks, Ft. Ogden, FL; son Mitchell Samuel Banks, KY; grandson Jason Ian Nemitz; several nieces and nephews; and his dog and companion "Zoey".

Alvin was preceded in death his parents; daughter Mary Lou Munk; one sister; and six brothers.

Friends may call Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 9:30 AM until time of services at 10:30 AM at Sandhill Freewill Baptist Church 7703 Mason Rd., Sandusky.  Pastor Garry Sorrell will officiate.  Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
