Agnes C. Harkness, age 86, of Castalia, died Tues., Aug. 20, 2019, in the Eden Springs Nursing Home, Green Springs.

She was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Sandusky, attended St. Mary's Catholic School, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was employed by Philco for 12 years and the Lutheran Memorial Home for 24 years.

Agnes is survived by her daughter Alice (Scott) Orshoski of Port Clinton; daughter-in-law Kim (Darin Monak) Harkness of Castalia; six grandchildren Joshua and Shawn Orshoski, Jessica, Aaron , Kara, and Kendra Harkness; five great grandchildren; sister Alice (Richard) Kuns of Castalia; brother Harold "Sonny" Schonhardt; of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Harkness, Sr.; her parents Harold and Alice Schonhardt; and son Kenneth Harkness.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019, at 11 AM at the Castalia Cemetery.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
