William T. Bauer, age 55, of Vickery, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.
He was born November 6, 1962, in Sandusky, and was a 1981 graduate of Margaretta High School. He was employed 35 years at Berry Plastics in Monroeville, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, was an avid duck hunter, loved all sports, fishing, jet skiing, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his dogs, especially Chase, and everyone else's dogs. He went on many trips to Saskatchewan and Arkansas to hunt.
Bill is survived by his special companion Dawn Mincek of Vickery and her children Tim and Melissa Mincek; 2 sisters Catherine "Ken" Steffenhagen of Castalia, and Christine Bauer of Sandusky; one brother Charles "Sherri" Bauer of Sandusky; special uncle Dave Bauer of Castalia; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and his loving dogs Chase, Maya, Dakota, and Daisey.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Katherine Bauer; paternal grandparents Linus and Martha Bauer; and his maternal grandparents Alison and Elizabeth Dillman.
Friends may call from 10:00 am Friday, Nov. 24, until time of services at 1:00 pm in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. The Rev. Philip Feltman will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
