Willard "Bill" Hoffman Jr.January 29, 1940 ~ May 20, 2017 (age 77)
Willard C. "Bill" Hoffman, Jr., 77, of Castalia, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Sandusky, and was a 1958 graduate of Margaretta High School. He was a welder at the former New Departure Hyatt and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 83, was an avid golfer, and loved sports.
Bill is survived by his wife, the former Mary Milliman, to whom he was married for 52 years; son Will (Belinda) Hoffman of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren Crystal, Kayla, Ashley, and favorite grandson and golf buddy Austin; 2 sisters Nancy Nelson of Florida, and Judy "Chickie" Greene of Castalia; one brother Don (Mary Kay) Hoffman of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Catherine Hoffman, one son Gregory John Hoffman in 2006, and 3 sisters Darlene, Shirley, and Patricia.
Friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday, May 26, 2017, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 27, with Chaplain Mel Salyers, of Stein Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
