Vernon R. Neidler, age 77, of Bellevue, died Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his residence. 

He was born December 26, 1940, in Vickery, and worked for the Iron Workers Local 17 out of Cleveland.  Vern was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked to play cards.  He loved watching the races every weekend at the Attica Raceway Park.

He is survived by his long-time companion Avanelle Alley and her family; daughter Suzanne Neidler; son Randy (Stephanie) Neilder; grandchildren Tony, Regan, and Shelbi Neidler; and sister Marguerite “Susie” Minier.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Jeanette (Donaldson) Neidler; three sisters Dorothy, Dixie, and Jeanie; and two brothers Arthur and Theodore.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
