Selle Dafna (Berry) Guy

Selle Dafna Guy, 90, of Castalia, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 1, 2019, in her home surrounded by family. 

Selle was born in Speedwell, TN, and retired from Margaretta High School as a custodian. She loved cooking, tending to her flowers and garden, watching football, baseball, professional wrestling, and bull riding.  Most of all, Selle loved playing cards with her family and friends.

She is survived by her 3 children, Blanche (Guy) Smith and her husband Roy Gene, Judy Ann (Guy) Sommers and her husband Michael, and Bobby Gene Guy and his wife Tracey; special son, Tracy Scott and his wife Jody; 12 grandchildren, Sandy (Smith) Smith and her husband Trey, Tammy (Smith) Franklin, Mandy (Smith) Ausmus and her husband Shane Ausmus, Amy (Smith) Hinckley and her husband Nathan Hinckley, Michael C. Sommers and his wife Erica, Daniel Sommers and his wife Angie, Joseph Sommers, Ashlee (Sommers) Yetter and her husband Andrew, Christopher Sommers and his wife Sarah, Brandon Guy, Breyahna Guy, and Braden Guy; 19 great-grandchildren, Jessica (Smith) Hill and her husband Jay, Fleet Smith and his wife Kima, Millie (Smith) Green and her husband Jaymen, Blake Franklin, Kaleb Franklin, Lexie Franklin, Taya Ausmus, Kayli Hinckley, Hyrum Hinckley, Layton Hinckley, Brigham Hinckley, Rhiann Weaver, Katy Weaver, Melody Sommers, Mason Yetter, Emma Yetter, Noah Yetter, Gabe Yetter, and Braxton Holt; and 7 great-great-granddaughters, Charity Hill, Melody Hill, Evey Hill, Addy Hill, Oaklee Smith, Baylee Smith, and Emma Green.

Selle was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Guy; parents, William Thomas and Hassie (Lasley) Berry; 8 brothers, Ulus (Boss) Garfield, Orace, Lee, Clay, Jay (McCoy), Billie Ester, Robert (Bob), Ott Berry; and 3 sisters, May (Elsie) Edwards, Edith (Marie), Ocie (Icy) Young.

Friends may call from 5-8pm Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service (610 S. Washington St., Castalia, OH), where the service will also be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 12pm. The burial will be at Castalia Cemetery immediately after the funeral service.
