Scott Gerald Koch

Scott Gerald Koch, age 51 died of a sudden heart attack at his home in Akron, Ohio on March 22, 2018.  Scott was born on Dec. 24, 1966 in Tiffin, Ohio to Lillian Kaye Beard (Summers),Tiffin and Gary Koch, Avon, Ohio who survive him.  He was preceded in death by his sister Kimberly Kaye Koch in 1974.

Scott graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1985 where he was active in music, as lead percussionist in marching band and orchestra.  Throughout his school years he was also active in several sports and some theater.  He moved to Akron, Ohio in 1986 where he was active in music.  He loved his work as an employee at Panyard Steel Drum Manufacturing. 

Also preceding Scott in death were grandparents Clarence and Bertha Koch (Wobser), Wilfred and Opal Summers (Davies) and Dorothy Tucker.

Survivors of Scott include Aunt Clarice (Steve) Gowitzka, Uncle Dean (Robin) Koch, several cousins; Meagan Perkins and Seirys Perkins who he loved like a daughter and grandson; and Pam Evans, his loving companion.  

A viewing was held for immediate family at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, on March 28, 2018.  A private graveside service will be held at a later time.  Scott will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and generosity of spirit.
