Ruth D. Miller

Ruth D. Miller, 94, of Sandusky, joined her husband Wayne in Heaven, Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at her residence.

She was born May 4, 1924, in Sandusky, and was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was employed by Periodical Publishers and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Groton Township, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and served on the church council. She loved being on the farm with her husband, whom she had missed very much since his death in 2001.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Lori Ann ( Richard D.) Smith of Sandusky;  son Rene Lee (Jennifer) Miller of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren Izek, Alex, Angela, and Jeremy; step grandson Aaron; 2 special grandchildren Conner and Tommy Dappert; 3 half brothers Larry, Paul, and Greg Warner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, to whom she was married 55 years; her parents Vern and Thelma (Myer) Warner; 2 sisters Carol Manner and Audrey Krueger; and one brother Vernon Warner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, in St. John's Lutheran Church, 9500 St. Rt. 99, Monroeville. Pastor James Michael will officiate and burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.   Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
