Ronald Anwander

Ronald J. Anwander, age 77, of Vickery, died Tuesday morning, November 12, 2019, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness. 

He was born September 15, 1942, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1960.  Ron worked with his father doing construction and farming. He loved being outdoors and bee keeping - which he was a member of the Sandusky Valley Bee Association. He collected arrowheads, attended auctions, liked hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR, doing yard work, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Wobser) Anwander; two daughters Becki (John) Theisen and Rhonda (Rod) Marshall; three grandchildren Heather Theisen, Vinny Holeton, and Jacob Holeton; aunt Edythe Ransom; special cousin Ann Scott; in-laws Carolyn Wobser, Jane Wobser, Jim (MaryAnn) Wobser, and Pat (Ray) Hamm, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Grace (Ransom) Anwander; and son Adam Anwander; Brothers in Law Carl and Rich Wobser.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM, Friday, November 15, 2019 in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
