Welcome to the memorial page for

Lillie Ruth (Keck) Nash

December 27, 1931 ~ November 3, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Lillie Ruth Nash, age 85, of Castalia, died Friday evening, November 3, 2017, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 27, 1931, in Powder Springs, TN, and attended Washburn High School in Tennessee.  (Lillie) Ruth was a 60 year member of Venice Rd Baptist Church, Sandusky.  Being a devout Christian,  she cherished and faithfully read her Bible daily;   finishing it from start to finish at least three times.  She retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center, where she worked as a cashier in Food Services and prior to that, she was a baker for the hospital.  Ruth loved her family dearly and was always available for them. She especially loved holidays, family gatherings and camping with her family and friends; gladly sharing her wonderful southern style of cooking with everyone she loved and who loved her. She also loved to spend time with her husband, Jimmy, on their houseboat on Norris Lake, TN.  Ruth, with her fun loving sense of humor and generousity really enjoyed being with people. She was loved by many for these reasons and her genuine love of life.

She is survived by two daughers Sandra (John) Cattano, Castalia, and Donna (John) Lorcher, Knoxville, TN; two sons Barry (June) Nash, Pine Knoll Shores, N.C., and Jeffrey Nash, Pigeon Forge, TN; 10 grandchildren Kelly (Tom) Boose, Kandy (Jason Boney) Nash, Rusty (Jenny) Ortner, Katrina (Matt) McDonald, Tony (Julie Seitz) Cattano, Lucas Nash, Cory (Krysti) Nash, Jessica (DJ Mulford) Nash,  Blake (Christina) Lorcher, and Chad Lorcher; 17 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, brother Donald (Pam) Keck, Castalia, aunt Fern Thomas, Blaine, TN.; and many special nieces and nephews.

(Lillie) Ruth was preceded in death by her husband James Nash, in 1984; parents William and Lora (Perry) Keck; three daughters Sonia, in infancy, Charlotte Nash, and Sharon Everitt; and son Garry Nash.
