Joyce A. Keller

Joyce A. Keller, age 84, of Castalia, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the Commons of Providence, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 6, 1934, in Sandusky, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1952.  She was the manager at Castalia Bank for 40 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky.  Joyce enjoyed helping out on the family farm and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  For several years, Joyce was the treasurer of the Ohio State Draft Horse Association.  

She is survived by her husband James Keller Sr.; two daughters Kathy (William) Bohn and Linda (Rex) Gary; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister Sally Yeager; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son James Keller Jr.; parents August and Lenora (Nemitz) Smith; sister Virginia Schoewe; and two brothers Richard and Tom Smith. 

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 10 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky, OH.  Rev. Matthew Frisbee will officiate.  Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
