Esther M Rowland, age 97, of Sandusky, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born June 13, 1920, in Milan, and graduated from Milan High School. She retired from the Sandusky Library, where she worked for many years. Esther was a member of the Castalia Congregational U.C.C., Castalia, and she was in the Church Choir and Woman's Fellowship Group for a long time; she also was a member of the Milan Travel Club, volunteered for the Red Cross, and was a 4H leader.
She is survived by her daughter Martha (John) Lublow; two grandsons Nicholas (Erin) Lublow and Ethan (Rachel) Lublow; and two great grandchildren Josephine and Oliver.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband George Rowland, in 1979; parents John and Mary (Warner) Moreland; and sister Clara Coleman.
A memorial service will be on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 10 AM, at Castalia Congregational U.C.C. 205 Main St., Castalia. Pastor John Paputza will officiate. A private burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, Castalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
