Doris Aldine Croxton Gantz, age 92, of Parkman, OH, and formerly of Castalia, died August 2, 2017, at her residence.

She was born in Seneca County on April 12, 1925. After the death of her husband Bus, Doris moved from Castalia to Parkman to be closer to her daughter. For many years thereafter, she continued to host the annual family Christmas party. The last of her generation, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her daughter Linda (Don) Whiteman; son Curt (Marcia) Gantz; six grandchildren Donald Whiteman, Damon Whiteman, Andrea (Steven) Fox, Jennifer (Kevin Polanski) Whiteman,  Katie (Keith Herbert) Gantz, and Tyler (Sarah) Gantz; 9 great- grandchildren; two nieces, two nephews, and her faithful companion of 10 years, her dog Beanie.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Lee "Bus" Gantz, and her parents Grover and Olivia Croxton.

Pursuant to her wishes, Doris was interred in Castalia Cemetery with no viewing or service. The family thanks the staffs of The Pines at Brooks House in Hiram, OH, Briar Hill in Middlefield, OH, and Hospice of Western Reserve for their care of Doris.
