Rose M Bottorff, 76, of Castalia and formerly of Monroeville, died July 4, 2017, in Stein Hospice, Sandusky, Ohio.

She was born June 30, 1941,  in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was the daughter of Felicia Leininger & Frank Ribble.  Rose lived in various places throughout her life including, Monroeville, Sandusky, Castalia, Kansas, but above all the UP of Michigan.

Rose worked numerous places in her life, including The Bever-ette, (99 & 113) Monroeville, and she owned and  operated with her husband (Walt) a pet cemetery in Kansas.

She enjoyed genealogy, reading, gardening, and watching old western movies, but she will be especially remembered for her love of goats and dogs.

Although Rose had a rough exterior, once you got to know her, her warmth and love would win you over.  Thus the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” ~ fits Rose perfectly!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Chester Arthur Brown (1994) and Walter Robert Bottorff (2002); sister, Doris Mae Roudebush, (2014) Florida; brothers; Steven Ribble, Arizona and Dale Ribble, Ohio.
