Ordis G. Weaver, 82, of Castalia, died Wednesday night, July 5, 2017, in his residence.
He was born April 20, 1935, in Halyville, AL, and was employed by the former New Departure Hyatt. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran, a member of the Eagles, and loved hunting and fishing.
Ordis is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Wilhelm; 2 sons Dan (Ginger) Weaver of Port Clinton, and John and ex wife Tricia Weaver of Norwalk; 8 grandchildren Rachel, Anna, Rebecca, Sarah, James, Halle, Christopher, and Hannah; one sister Shirlee Harvey of Republic; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Weaver in 1991; his parents Rufus and Nancy Weaver; son David Weaver; brothers Emmitt and James Weaver; and sister Gladys Mayes.
Friends may call from 4-7 pm Sunday, July 9, 2017, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 11 am Monday, July 10, 2017. The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
