Millard Mayse, Jr, age 78, of Castalia, passed away Wednesday morning, August 3, 2016, in his home.

Jr. was born in Sandy Hook, KY, to Millard and Nora Mayse on January 5, 1938.  He worked for the Ford Motor Company, in Sandusky, for more than 40 years, built homes for several years before and after shifts at Ford, and was very involved in the Castalia Community serving as a Castalia Lion, and a Margaretta Athletic Booster Club Member.  Always doing something, Jr. loved golfing with his friends, fishing, playing cards, and tending to the garden and his family.

Jr. is survived by his sons Tracy (Tina), Todd, Mark, Steve (Kim) and Dan (Dawn); daughter Beth; brother Don (Edna); 16 adoring grandchildren; and 6 cherished great-grandchildren.

Jr. was preceded in death by his first wife Gaynelle Mayse, August,1977; his second wife Joyce Mayse, October 2013;  great-grandchild Caleb Armbrecht, September 2015; and his parents Millard and Nora Mayse.

Friends may call from  5-8:00 PM, Friday, August 5, 2016, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where memorial services will be held at 8:00 PM by the Castalia Lions Club.  A brief visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016,from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.  Pastor John Paputza will officiate.
