Marie M. Gray - "Nanny" ,88, Castalia, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, with her family by her side.

Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and cared for her family with all her heart.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time outside with her grandchildren. Her life was a testimony of serving a wonderful, gracious God whom she relied on all of her life. She was a member of Wayside Temple Church, Castalia.

Marie was born in Greeneville, TN, on January 23, 1928, to Alonzo and Bessie Shelton.

She is survived by her two children Patsy Sidoti and Judy (Tim) Schoewe of Castalia; five grandchildren Tarina Sidoti, Amy (Dan) Keegan, Jill (Israel) Palomo, Brooke(Josh ) Dauch, and Gabe Sidoti; nine great grandchildren Giorgio Sortino, Sal Sortino, Gordy Keegan, Ben Palomo, Eden Palomo, Konner Dauch, Isla Palomo, Kendall Dauch, and Eli Sidoti; three brothers Robert (Mildred) Shelton, Ross Shelton, and Ralph (Tina) Shelton; a special niece, Jean Miller; and brother- in-Iaw, Buddy Malone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James U. Gray; great grandson Samuel Palomo; son-in-law, Terry Sidoti; sisters Olive Kimery and Colena Malone; brothers York, Worley, and Jay Shelton; a nephew Ricky Malone; and nieces Linda Emmett and Kathy Witt.

At Marie's request there will be no visitation and a private service will be held at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Chaplain Darrell Gant will officiate.
