Larry D. Zimmerman. age 61, of Bellevue, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

He was born March 8, 1956, in Sandusky, and was a 1974 graduate of EHOVE. He was a body shop technician for Erie Chrysler, Quality Olds, and Foster Chevrolet, and for the past 17 years was a truck driver for Omni Source Steel Dynamics. He was a member of the Four County Conservation League, and the NRA.

Larry is survived by his wife, the former Jerri Korenke, to whom he was married for 30 years; his father George Zimmerman of Vermilion; 3 daughters Angela (Tim) Everson of Castalia, Heather (Jeffery) Turner of Bellevue, and Toni (Rob Hendricks) Hawes of Sandusky; 7 grandchildren Jenna, Brandon, Leia, Jakob, Melaina, Alexia, and Ryan; 1 great granddaughter Adalynn; one sister Kay (Jim) McElroy,  one brother John (Kendall) Zimmerman and sister-in-law Nanette Zimmerman all of Berlin Heights; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred, and his brother James Zimmerman.

Friends may call from 4-7 pm Monday, June 19, 2017, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where memorial services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Stein Hospice Chaplain David Clarke will officiate.
