Kathleen A. (Jones) Lodge

Kathleen A. Lodge, age 73, a long-time resident of Castalia, died peacefully at her home in Michigan on Monday morning, February 26, 2018, under the loving care of family and Hospice of Michigan.

She was born August 15, 1944, in Olean, New York, and graduated from Landon Senior High School in 1962, and from West Liberty State College in 1964. She worked in the Dental Hygiene profession for 38 years and upon retirement, as a volunteer for Hospice in OH, FL and MI. 

Kathy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.  She was most happy when taking care of others and was loved and respected by all whose lives she touched.  Everyone will remember her by the big, beautiful smile she would share with her family, friends and anyone she met.

She is survived by three daughters Lori (Kent Weickert) Rister, Fremont, Amy (Keith Dils) Lodge, Avon Lake, and Julie (Steve Jarrett) Lodge-Jarrett, Birmingham, MI; grandchildren Jaimee (Brandon) Schick, GA, Eva, Lodge and Elle Dils, Avon Lake, Benjamin and Jocelyn Jarrett, Birmingham MI; great granddaughter Evelyn Schick, GA; brother Gordon Jones, FL; niece Jennifer Jones-Wilson, FL; and nephew Douglas Jones, FL.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Gordon Jones and Ruth (Palmquist) Stevens. 

Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and a private family service will be held on Friday.  Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate.
