Howard F. Stamm, 88, of Castalia, died Friday afternoon, June 16,2017, in Heartland of Waterville, Waterville, OH, following a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Sandusky, OH, and was a graduate of Huron High School. He was employed as a welder with the State of Ohio and Parkertown Quarry.
Howard was a member of Rubicon Lodge #237, F. & A.M.; 32nd Degree Mason, Valley of Toledo; 33rd Degree Mason; Past Monarch of Singara Grotto; Aladdin Temple of Shriners; and the Firelands Shrine Club. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moose Lodge, and the Dad's of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his son David (JoAnn) Stamm of Maumee; daughter Wilma (Bobby) Pollen; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Verna (Offenberg) Stamm; his second wife Loretta Stamm; one son John Stamm; his parents Arthur and Ada Stamm; brother Tom Stamm; and sister Ruth Ritz.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where Science Lodge #50 will conduct masonic services at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, in the funeral home with Deacon Phil Dinovo officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
