Marlene, you have our sympathy on the passing of your mom. Many years ago I enjoyed your mom's basement and imagining the beautiful creations I could create. That was before I even met you, Dick, and your girls. Your mom must have been a beautiful lady--both inside and out. I pray warm and loving memories of time spent with her will help at this difficult time.

Hi Evelyn! This is "your angel" :)
I am now living in Seattle, Washington! I miss my Ohio family and friends, but I am enjoying the West Coast with my daughter, my son-in-law, and my beautiful 8 month old grand-daughter, Gabriella Jane. Hmmm....Jane.....I "wonder" who she was named after??!? We will be visiting in May so my Mom can finally meet "Ella" and I will get a 4 generation picture!
I love YOUR picture! Such a beautiful smile, such a beautiful soul, such a beautiful lady. I will always remember roller skating in your garage because you had the smoothest concrete on McCartney Road, and you enjoyed hearing all the little girls having fun! Then I got to come in the basement and see all the pretty flowers you made from Icing! WOW!! And so my love for cake decorating began; all because of you!
THEN I became an X-Ray Technologist, and from there an MRI Technologist, and it seemed no matter what...whenever you "visited" the hospital, we were brought back together, even if sometimes just for a hug or a visit from me to your room. And that's when you started to call me "your angel". And maybe that's so. See, we both believe in a God who is soooooooo much greater than we are! And He knew where you were, and He knew where I was, and he said, "Ladies! Get together!!" Ha! And so we did.
I love you, Evelyn, and I thank God that you loved the little brunette girl who came to roller skate in your garage, and came downstairs to see all the pretty flowers of icing, and share a taste now and then, too! I know that you and Louie are rejoicing together around our Lord's throne, and I can't wait to one day join the "Endless Hallelujah" with all of you! I'd like to ask one last thing of you: would you find my Papa and give him a hug for me and tell him I love him? He's up there too, you know! Probably with the McCartney Road gang, laughing and sharing stories with each other and with Jesus. So until we meet again....lots of love from "your angel".

I was just thinking of your Mom the other day and was going to call her. Why don't we do things right away. We always wait until it's too late. Your Mom was probably my Mon's best friend, certainly the oldest friend. They had some great times together with her sister Margie and my Aunt Liz. Marlene, do you remember going to the beach in Huron when we were little and I thimk we went to Cedar Point also. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a great lady and very much loved by my Mom, Dorothy. Norma Jean
