Donna Claire (Parish) Johnson, age 80, of Castalia, died peacefully at home under the loving care of family and Stein Hospice.
Born October 11, 1937, in Fremont, the daugher of James and Mary (Glendora) Parish. Donna graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1955. She married John Douglas Johnson in April of 1956 and together raised three daughters. A wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.
She enjoyed sewing clothes for both her girls and their Barbies. She was a member of both MARMO and Margaretta Booster Club during her daughters' high school years, as well as a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Sandusky. After John's retirement they enjoyed traveling to country music events and vacations across the U.S.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Johnson; daughters Joni (James) Wahl, Castalia, Jill Johnson, AZ, and Jeanne (Eric) Schuster, Berlin Hts.; granddaughters Megan (Jeff) Caranna, Akron, and Amanda Wahl, Cuyahoga Falls; grandsons Zachary, Alexander, and Nicholas Usselman; granddaughter Sydney Schuster Berlin Hts.;
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call from 12-2 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 19, 2018, at 11 AM, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. Pastor David Hixson will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10 AM.
