Bill L. Bohn, age 87, of Castalia, died Sunday night, July 10, 2016, in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.

He was born March 13, 1929, in Castalia, and was a 1947 graduate of Margaretta High School. Together with his father and brothers, they established Bohn Implement in 1955 and remained employed until his retirement at the age of 80. Bill was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, where he played in the church softball league, sang in the church choir, served on the church vestry, and was a member, along with his wife Betty, of the former "Mr. and Mrs. Club" at Grace. Bill also bowled in the AMVETS VFW Monday night league for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife, the former Betty Williams, to whom he was married for 64 years; two daughters Roberta (Mark) Kastor of Sandusky and  Rebecca Bohn of Castalia; two sons Billy (Kathy) Bohn and Barry (Maggie) Bohn both of Castalia; eight grandchildren Brian (Allison) Bohn, Andy Bohn, Kevin (Becky) Bohn, Karyn (Ben) Barnette, Jameson Yingling, Jarrett (Lindsey) Yingling, Jordan (Darcy Nardotti) Yingling, and Justine Yingling; eleven great grandchildren Gavin, Maycee, Xavier, Xander, Jaxson, Jerzie, Vinny, Bennett, Kynlee, Jett, and Karter; one sister Patricia Gardner of Castalia; two brothers Jack (Virginia) Bohn and Max (Patty) Bohn both of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George P. and Mildred (Strecker) Bohn; mother and father-in-law Cleota and Robert Williams;  brother George F. Bohn; and brother-in-law Duane Gardner.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday, July 14, 2016, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington Street, Castalia, and from 10:00 AM Friday, July, 15, 2016, until time of services at 11;00 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington Street, Castalia. The Rev. Katie Suggitt will officiate, and burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
