Audrey M. (Wallen) Elswick

Audrey M. Elswick, age 74, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2018, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

She was born October 4, 1943, in Virginia, and retired from Ford Motor Company in 2004.  Audrey was a member of the Sandusky Orioles, UAW Local 913, and the American Legion.  She loved doing yard work, fishing with her friends, gardening, and mowing her grass. 

She is survived by her daughter Tina Webb, Denver CO; grandson Stanley “Spanky” McMurray III; special son Jimmy (Lisa) Wallen; four brothers Jerry Wallen, Glen “Cotton” (Darlene) Wallen, Larry Wallen, and Huey (Kaye) Wallen and a step mother Virgie Wallen; several nieces and nephews; special friend and “sister” Brenda Gail Griffin and he beloved dog Chewy.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband James “Roy” Elswick, in 2004; parents Edd and Elsa Viola (Smith) Harvey; and three brothers James, Franklin, and Tim Wallen.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 25, 2018.  Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
